Two and a half years ago, our fun loving friend Marek had an ulcer...as you do...and after weeks of it not moving out, he went to the doc. Two weeks later he was in hospital, having a big section of his tongue cut out, and replaced by a piece of his thigh. He was then 34 years young.



This was followed by extensive radiotherapy, and chemotherapy, which had quite terrible side effects....Tinitus (ringing in the ears...ALL the time), nerve damage down his arm (CONSTANT pins & needles) not to mention the joy of eating and drinking...GONE - as well as being unable to communicate like he once did (its hard to speak clearly when your thigh is in your mouth...). O and the constant pain & discomfort from the scarring where his neck and face were extensively operated on all topped off with chronic insomnia.



ANYHOW...such is this wonderful man that he would hate all this being banged on about..so to the pointy end...a couple of months before Christmas he had his 2yr check. ALL CLEAR... yippee! ...and then he got a cough. It didn't feel right. So he went back to the doc, O s**t, Secondary cancer located in the lung. Christmas was spent going through massive chemo to no avail the test results showed the tumour had grown.

So off to Germany did he go, with his Dad for support, which is where he is now undergoing cutting edge Proton Therapy treatment that costs more than the deposit on a 1 bedder in Bondi .. BIG $$$$, payed upfront!



He's been there a month and has at least another to go.

So we thought we'd do what we do best, put on a rocking party to celebrate his bravery and courage and raise a few $$ to go towards his expenses (which include the rent on his pad here while he's away, hotels in Munich, flights, the list goes on....)

Marek loves his parties and his music; with loud tunes on a dancefloor he can forget the tinitus, the pins and needles and the pain in his neck, so come join us and our wonderful DJ friends who are providing top notch tunes for hours on end for all to enjoy.
